BRZRKR Vol. 1 by Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, Rafael Grampa, Ron Garney, and Bill Crabtree is $7 (50% off) on Amazon.com
This coincides with today's release of the alternate-universe novel based on the same character, The Book of Elsewhere.
Quote:
The man known only as Berzerker is half-mortal and half-God, cursed and compelled to violence... even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the world for centuries, Berzerker may have finally found a refuge -- working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, Berzerker will be granted the one thing he desires -- the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence... and how to end it. Keanu Reeves makes his comic book writing debut alongside New York Times bestselling co-writer Matt Kindt (Folklords, Grass Kings) and legendary artist Ron Garney (Captain America, The Amazing Spider-Man) in a brutally violent new series about one immortal warrior's fight through the ages. Collects BRZRKR #1-4.

IN. by Will McPhail is $4 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Quote:
A poignant and witty graphic novel by a leading New Yorker cartoonist, following a millennial's journey from performing his life to truly connecting with people

Nick, a young illustrator, can’t shake the feeling that there is some hidden realm of human interaction beyond his reach. He haunts lookalike fussy, silly, coffee shops, listens to old Joni Mitchell albums too loudly, and stares at his navel in the hope that he will find it in there. But it isn’t until he learns to speak from the heart that he begins to find authentic human connections and is let in—to the worlds of the people he meets. Nick’s journey occurs alongside the beginnings of a relationship with Wren, a wry, spirited oncologist at a nearby hospital, whose work and life becomes painfully tangled with Nick’s.

Illustrated in both color and black-and-white in McPhail’s instantly recognizable style, In elevates the graphic novel genre; it captures his trademark humor and compassion with a semi-autobiographical tale that is equal parts hilarious and heart-wrenching—uncannily appropriate for our isolated times.

Replay: Memoir of an Uprooted Family by Jordan Mechner is $3 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Was on my wishlist.
Note: Amazon doesn't let me to "Download and transfer via USB" - maybe my registered Kindle device is too old for this format. Kobo should work fine.
Quote:
A teenage romantic heads to the enlistment office when his idyllic life in a Jewish enclave of the Austro-Hungarian Empire is shattered by World War I.

A seven-year-old refugee begins a desperate odyssey through France, struggling to outrun the rapidly expanding Nazi regime and reunite with his family on the other side of the Atlantic.

The creator of a world-famous video game franchise weighs the costs of uprooting his family and moving to France as the cracks in his marriage begin to grow.

Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner calls on the voices of his father and grandfather to weave a powerful story about the enduring challenge of holding a family together in the face of an ever-changing world.

Cross-posted to Horror.
Eerie Tales from the School of Screams by Graham Annable is $3 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Middle grade horror comic anthology. This was on my wishlist as I'm a fan of the author's work.
Note: Amazon doesn't let me to "Download and transfer via USB" - maybe my registered Kindle device is too old for this format. Kobo should work fine.
Quote:
School is tough.
School is scary.
School is EERIE.

No one knows this better than Davis and Emily. But they’re not scared of school because of tough tests or merciless vice-principals. No, they’re scared because their teacher wants her students to present the class with the spookiest, most chilling stories they can think of.

From the twisted mind of Graham Annable comes five horrifying stories that will scare your skeleton right out of your skin. Are you ready to stare down “The Face in the Forest”? Do you think you can handle the truth behind “The Village that Vanished?”

Lock the doors, turn on all the lights, and arm yourself with candy— you’ll need all the help you can get to face these nightmares.

Squire by Nadia Shammas & Sara Alfageeh is $2 on Amazon.com
Was on my wishlist.
Quote:
Aiza has always dreamt of becoming a Knight. It’s the highest military honor in the once-great Bayt-Sajji Empire, and as a member of the subjugated Ornu people, Knighthood is her only path to full citizenship. Ravaged by famine and mounting tensions, Bayt-Sajji finds itself on the brink of war once again, so Aiza can finally enlist in the competitive Squire training program.

It’s not how she imagined it, though. Aiza must navigate new friendships, rivalries, and rigorous training under the unyielding General Hende, all while hiding her Ornu background. As the pressure mounts, Aiza realizes that the “greater good” that Bayt-Sajji’s military promises might not include her, and that the recruits might be in greater danger than she ever imagined.

In this breathtaking and timely story, Aiza will have to choose, once and for all: loyalty to her heart and heritage, or loyalty to the Empire.

Don't think I ever purchased from them, except for some HumbleBundle stuff.

Their FAQ makes me think their service wasn't meaningfully different than buying the comics on Kindle:

Quote:
Do I own the comics in my bookshelf?

Technically, you do not. As with Kindle, Nook, and other e-book companies, you license the right to read the book on supported and authorized devices.

For more information, please review our terms of service HERE

And you can only download them through the iOS app. If you're an Android or PC user, you're SOL.

Not exactly a "comic", per se, but I thought this would be appropriate to post here.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00413QAM4
https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/superfolks-1

Superfolks by Robert Mayer is on sale for $2.99:

Quote:
Before there was WATCHMEN, there was SUPERFOLKS....

David Brinkley used to be a hero, the greatest the world had ever seen--until he retired, got married, moved to the suburbs, and packed on a few extra pounds. Now all the heroes are dead or missing, and his beloved New York is on the edge of chaos. It's up to Brinkley to come to the rescue, but he's in the midst of a serious mid-life crisis--his superpowers are failing him.

At long last this classic satire that inspired comic books like Watchmen and Miracleman is back in print. It's a hilarious thriller that digs deep into the American psyche.
I had it on my watchlist after reading a Morrison v. Moore spat about how influential the book was or wasn't on Moore's Marvelman/Miracleman series.
