Scratch this, i've got it to start working:
The driver installed on Windows 7 without an SD card in. Once I installed it, I then put the card back in the reader. To install the firmware, the Sony updater failed so I had to manually unzip and copy the package to the reader root before rebooting the device into recovery which then successfully installed the firmware. All working great, thanks. Update: Decided to unroot after all this as the Kindle app is pretty slow compared to my old kindle keyboard that I will continue to use. Only for clarify and future references, you can repartitioning your device with version 1.0.07, since the first entrance of this topic talks about downgrade device in order to use for partitioning, this is not necesary, you can do it from 1.0.07 version, I recommend repartitioning using Linux Distro and only modify Partitions 3, 4 and 9.

PRS-T1 1.0.0.7 rooting failed, bought it dirt cheap now what?
Hello everybody,
I have a bricked PRS-T1 reader that I have bought cheap because one of my friends tried to root 1.0.0.7 by altering the batch file. NowI don't have usb access, only recovery mode by rupor, and I can only charge it when in recovery mode. I am not having the ability to use linux, only mac on os x 11 El Capitan or Windows 10 64-bit. Can I save this book somehow? Thank you for the help Andras |

Sony T1
By the way I can read books through micro SD card. But wifi
is also not turning on at the moment. And if I plug in USB cable or charger when on then it freezes and turns off immediately. |

I had this recently, but I was on 1.0.5 and stupidly installed adb for 1.0.4 which gave me the USB freezing issue. For me, it was as easty as using restore-set-1.0.05.11130-us
But you are on 1.0.7 so you will have to downgrade: http://community.sony.com/t5/Reader-...re/td-p/460702 Alternative, more detailed, instructions: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=18 Also of interest: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=249859 |
