Do you put your books on the main memory or the card?
Just curious to where you guys put your books.
I've got a 4GB Micro SD in there, but I find that I'm not even using it. I don't put my entire collection on my Nook, just what I'm reading currently and my past reads stay on there. Is there a difference in speed and such? |

On all my 4 readers, i put all books in external SD cards, never on main memory. The times you can write/remove files to any flash kind memory is limited, so i rather use the simple to remove SD cards then the internal non-removable memory. This keeps the readers useful for the persons i give them to when i am done with them

I just use internal memory. It is simple to load ebooks or remove them via Calibre.

I mostly use the internal memory. I have heard from people who have had ereaders for longer than I do that using an sd card or the like is slower and also makes the reader empty its battery faster.

External SD card. If I have to factory reset the device, I don't have to reload all my non-B&N books.

So far, all my books go on the SD card on all my reader gadgets.
(Except Kindle, of course. ) Internal memory I reserve for fonts, dictionaries, apps (where available). |

My device has only 64MB of internal memory, so I use an SD card. It's also more convenient for transferring books to and from different computers.

Usually internal memory, it is the only option on the kindle anyway, but performance and battery life are better if you are not using external storage when you don't need to.

Mine go on the SD card, plus with the SD card and a USB adapter they transfer much faster than using the usb cord with my reader.
4 gig SD card with approximately 4,000 titles on it. I love having a whole library at my fingertips. |

I put all of mine on 2gig sd card.
Use a Jetbook and for some reason not all books are readable in the main memory. Since they all read fine on the card I'm happy. |

I've used both on my Sony, but now I stick to the main memory.
Better battery life and performance and less of a temptation to fill it up with so many books I can't find anything. |

Interesting...I always kept my books on the SD card because it was removable. I just moved them all to the internal memory to improve battery life/speed.
If you have to do a reset, can't you first copy your books to your PC? Otherwise, I may rethink this |
