Hyperlinks certainly are commonly used – a great percentage of my epubs have a table of contents with hyperlinks... |

Rather odd, I just checked 32 epubs with HTML ToCs. When the hyperlink was correctly structured and styled, it worked though the popup ToC is easier since you can pop it up from anywhere. Testing hyperlinks to external sites such as when an author puts in a Bookbub link using a image worked to connect to the site. The limitation here for the eInk devices is that the web browser is pretty much an antique and many web pages don't even want to talk to it. Using the Kobo Desktop app or the iOS and Android apps does not have this issue since a more modern browser is used.
As for the font weight? My experience is that it works. There is the issue that some people seem hung up on in that the font used for the weight setting is not the current font but that is a cosmetic issue and does not affect the reading experience. Code:
readingFontWeight\ChareInk6=0.61 readingFontWeight\IBMPlexSerif=0.71 readingFontWeight\Domitian=0.69 |

The left side of the attached picture shows RMSDK, the right is the Shine 5's default renderer. Both using the same setting. Code:
readingFontWeight\Bitter=0.8 |

So I'm still looking for LCP 2.0 infected eBooks. Actually, if anyone has an LCP 2.0 infected eBook and the key, then you can do the testing for me. |

Unless you have saved the LCP DRM removal module from the DeDRM package before it was removed and injected that module back into the newer package replacing the dummy stub, you do not have the ability to remove LCP DRM. The module was removed after a DCMA complaint.

I do have the old, now removed, package yes. it used to work before the publisher started using a newer version of LCP. according to them, they are still using LCP, just a newer version.

unfortunately no. I've been looking and there's only epubor's conversion service. I tested it and it does work but it costs $20 a month. it's good to know it's possible to remove it though.

I guess they must be outside the reach of a cease and desist letter. I'm sure they'll just be using the solution that (briefly) appeared in DeDRM.

Epubor will also decrypt the later LCP encryption that the DeDRM code does not handle. They likely have built on the work of others but they have extended the capabilities of the code.
