Stop the "preparing book for first read" notice?

My kid would really like to not see the 'preparing book for first read' notice. I've poked the preferences, tried using the portable viewer, and done other things, such as look at the human readable config files, but I don't see a way to either tell Calibre not to show it, or get rid of it myself. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Sure there is. Don't use the Viewer

Use another (external) viewer.

Only slightly sorry for the snark, but folk are now griping about the most minor of cosmetic things. Too Big. Wrong Blue. Does not fit my xyz phones screen. Kovid did not charge enough for Calibre.
