Deluge! by the late prolific multi-genre British author John Russell Fearn (ISFDB, SFE) is his vintage standalone western historical action adventure novel, this tale starring a wandering mining engineer who finds a night's shelter with a kindly old rancher (with the requisite beautiful daughter) whose property is suffering from a lack of water supply, apparently the work of a ruthless neighbouring landowner, whose sabotage the engineer takes it upon himself to remedy, no matter what the cost, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Pioneering imprint.

This was originally published in 1949 by Muir-Watson under the title Gunsmoke Valley, and was later reprinted by Robert Hale as part of their Black Horse Western under its current title using the pseudonym Arnold Ryden.
