A possible solution to the NetGalley LCP problem?
I don't do NetGalley so can't confirm if it works. But thought I'd throw this out here:
Have NetGalley Send-to-Kindle, obtain file from Kindle device or Kindle for PC, then import into calibre to liberate and convert. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Calibre/com...end_to_kindle/ |

As you say, their ebooks in their app is already protected by LCP, so why can't they also at least provide LCP-protected files for us to download and read on another reader outside of their really bad app? I'm quite frustrated over the situation. |

Does indeed work.

All my reading is done on my Kobo's using KOReader. On the plus side, after being forced to use this method, I no longer worry about the book expiring, those books are now permanently part of my Calibre library. |

Wondering how you you got it working, Jadehawk. I send the book to my Kindle account from NetGalley, I can get the azw3 file imported into Calibre, but then Calibre stonewalls me by saying it can't convert the file to epub format. Any insight you can offer into how you got this method working?

And unfortunately, K4PC 2.4.0 will not download any ebook published on 2025-Apr-23 or later.
