New to kobo, imported books progress won't sync across devices
I'm totally new to Kobo. I just got the libra and expected to be able to sync my reading progress between my libra and the Kobo android app. I just learned that kobo only syncs Kobo purchased books.

Is there a work around? I don't mind installing a new image..this is a must have feature for me and I can't find another ereader with side buttons at that price point.

No workaround for the stock reader. KOReader can sync the reading progress between their Kobo and Android apps, AFAIK.

I just rely on remembering a phrase or so from near where I stopped reaing on one device, and then find that location on the other device.

I don't consciously try to remember anything, but I can find my place quickly enough. Years of practice, I guess, because I always preferred manual finding to automatic syncing, even when I used Kindles. I never had the patience for syncing.
