Help! I want to get rid of margins on selected page
Hello fallow users, I'm new in using calibre and wanted to convert the book for myself the way that I like. What I wanted to convert is the Epub file to pdf file.
The problem is that I wanted to get rid of the margins on the page that have image on it and make the image full page then the text would show in the fallowing page. Can any one help me? I photoshop of what the file look like when I convert it, and what I want to look like. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...8E?usp=sharing Here is the html script that I have: <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"> <head> <meta content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type"/> <link href="../Styles/styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/> <title>Chapter 82: Roast Beef</title> <style type="text/css"> @page { margin: 0; padding: 0; } body { margin: 0; padding: 0; oeb-column-number: 1; } </style> </head> <body> <p class="P_Prose_Formatting__And__Page_Break"><span style=" font-size: 1.00em;">“Um…er…I’d like to talk to the two people over there,” she told the follower of Chaos. “May I sit with them?”</span></p> <p class="P_Prose_Formatting"><span style=" font-size: 1.00em;">“Oh, you want to share a table? Let me check real quick.” Slightly confused by the request, the follower of Chaos politely headed off to confirm it.</span></p> <p class="P_Prose_Formatting"><span style=" font-style: italic; font-size: 1.00em;">Ah…maybe she’s not actually a bad person?</span></p> <div class="P_TEXTBODY_CENTERALIGN_PAGEBREAK" ><img alt="" class="full-page-stretch" id="Restaurant-Vol5_INTERIORIMAGES_" src="../Images/Restaurant-Vol5_INTERIORIMAGES_.jpg"/> </div> <p class="P_Prose_Formatting"><span style=" font-size: 1.00em;">That thought crossed Rorona’s mind as she watched the young lady walk away. At the Lord of Black’s shrine, Rorona had been taught to eliminate any and all followers of Chaos on sight. However, she couldn’t find a reason to slay the girl, who didn’t seem like an evildoer.</span></p> <p class="P_Prose_Formatting"><span style=" font-size: 1.00em;">“I just checked, and Romero and Julietta would love your company. They’d actually like to speak to you as well! Let me take you over to them.”</span></p> <p class="P_Prose_Formatting"><span style=" font-size: 1.00em;">After being on the receiving end of the young lady’s bright smile, how could Rorona not obediently follow? </span></p> <p class="P_Prose_Formatting"><span style=" font-size: 1.00em;">“All right. Thank you.” She let the follower of Chaos guide her to the table.</span></p> |

The image and text is in the same html file. So all pages generated from this HTML file. What I want is only the image to have no margins which is the line
<div class="P_TEXTBODY_CENTERALIGN_PAGEBREAK" ><img alt="" class="full-page-stretch" id="Restaurant-Vol5_INTERIORIMAGES_" src="../Images/Restaurant-Vol5_INTERIORIMAGES_.jpg"/> </div> not the text that come before and after. please see the ideal photo in https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...8E?usp=sharing Last edited by piyarad27; 10-29-2020 at 11:41 PM. |

That is why you have a stylesheet.
Make a new style and apply it WHERE needed. Conversion applies the user rules (and existing css settings) to the whole book If you want a 'fine tuned' page, then you need to do it by hand with the editor. Basic CSS2 is not really that hard. Look at the code and reverse engineer ![]() |

Quote:
1) the image just stretches to fit the page, distorting the image 2) the image stretches without distortion, cutting off some of the image which extends beyond the page 3) the image rotates to match its longest side to the screen's longest side and then stretches without distortion, cutting off some of the image which extends beyond the page Or some other option I haven't thought of? |
