"Google Images" Gadget Suggestion in Searching for Words
I dont know If this is the right place to ask. But I want to know two things:
1. Is this a good idea? 2. how can we tell Amazon to apply it for their next update? Most of the kindle or book readers encounter difficult words; like names of trees, kinds of animals, and so on. These things are easier for native speakers to find out. But for non-native speakers of English like us; even the dictionary won't help, since the dictionary can explain in words only. Google Images i think is the best solution for some words that needs images to explain them. Thanks The image example is in the attachment. |

The group of developers at this site do not have a 'working relationship' with Amazon/Lab126.
Mostly a matter of history. But also because Amazon observes a "not invented here" policy. |

We have information here about building custom ACXs for the Kindle, which is probably where you want to start for this project. If I recall correctly, the purpose it was introduced for was to lookup words and phrases on-line while reading. So looking up images would probably not be too hard. In this case, it isn't rocket science. If you have trouble finding that thread (or threads), check the FGA thread for tips on searching this forum. Any relationship we might have with Amazon/Lab126 could best be described as adversarial. Last edited by knc1; 10-10-2015 at 07:49 AM. |
