How to un-root the PRS-T1?
Hello all,
this thread might seem strange to some people, but at the beginnig i thought "wow, rooting my device is going to be grat, im gonna do lots of stuff", but at the end all i do with my reader is, well, read. So, in order to improve a little more the battery life and prevent any issues form happening, i want to remove the root from my device (or un root it). Whats is the way to do it? I thought that doing a factory reset on the reader might do the trick, but it didnt, so, what is the safest way to do it? i dont care about loosing my book, i have everything backed up! thanks!

Doesn't the suite of rooting programs contain a 'restore'?

You should be able to download the file called restore-set-1.0.04.12210 and then use it to restore the T1 to the non-rooted state.

I've just done that restore and it worked perfectly.
I have an unrooted T1 and all the books were there without a need to re-load. Tony |

thanks to all for the info, i will give the restore method a try.
@Katie1, i already did the hard re-set, but it didnt un-root the device, only deleted all my books and settings, but thanks anyway. |

No Wi-fi
I un-rooted the Boroda/Porkupan root.
Now it can't detect any access points. I also notice the google reader button is back despite the device showing I'm on firmware 1.05. I have also done a hard reset, but no love on the eifi front. I notice the last time that I power cycled it that there was a label "error" on the Wi-Fi settings page. It went away after tapping the check box, though.
