html to epub - input issue

I'm currently trying to convert an html file to epub, but the input field of the conversation screen reads "zip" instead of the actual file type. This may be a silly question, but I'm a little lost nonetheless.
Thanks for your help.

HTML are always put into Zip. to keep the pieces together (Images, stylesheets other stuff) even if there is one file.

Convert and see what you get

When I do that, it just pops up with an error message saying it has failed to convert. So I just assumed it was an issue with the input. Thanks though! Any more ideas?

You need to look at the underlying details of the error report. It is highly likely that will tell you what the problem is.
