Problem: MR Installer(r19293) failed to install Kual in my Kindle Scribe on 5.16.2 with serial ---23M.

After I copy Jailbreak_hotfix and Update_KUALBooklet_d0eb25b_install.bin into kindle, and run ;log mrpi, the kual cannot be installed, with some "KPPMainAppV2" files appearing in kindle.

There is something suspected in mrinstaller.log, part of which is posted below.

Any help to analyse the log file is highly appreciated!

You've probably managed to install or partially install something that's not supported by your device (e.g., the ScreenSavers or Fonts hacks), and now it's broken the common scripts because they're picking up an FBInk binary that doesn't support your device.

Remove the linkss & linkfonts folders, reinstall the JB hotfix and it should behave.

EDIT: Nope, that was (probably) an actual bug in FBInk . I've pushed updated snapshots which should fix it.

Hi,

I have the same issue with a new kindle paperwhite signature edition. I get a
"Not targeting your device, skipping" error when trying to install the latest kual coplate booklet through mrpi.

I alo can't find the serial codes for my kindle anywhere in any of the "what kindle do you have" lists btw. The serial starts with G8S2 1911

it's running 5.16.2.1.1 and I've installed the language JB and the hotfix from the language jailbreak package (the mkk subdirectory is there).

What’s your Kindle model? Storage, color?
This looks like denim (or other colors, plum?) version of a Kindle, or maybe Kids… (remembering eBay stuff)
