Kobo Calibre recognition problem
My calibre software recently stopped detecting my Kobo at all. Everything else is normal, including ADE, Kobo Desktop and using it as mass storage, but Calibre just doesn't see it at all. This seems to have happened with an update, so I may be missing an interface change, but I have looked pretty hard, and the send to device option is greyed whatever I do, let alone finding the device management screen...
I've tried restoring a clean database to the device, and it hasn't changed anything. It still works perfectly with other programs, but isn't seen at all by Calibre. Any help for me? This is a double post from the kobo forum, but since I'm not really sure if it's a calibre or Kobo problem I'm going to cross post. Last edited by Bureaucromancer; 09-18-2010 at 09:43 PM. |

lGo to preferences->Advanced->Misc and click debug device detection and post the results.

Actually, the device appeared after a minute, gave a communication error (which I didn't think to copy in it's entirety) and showed as empty. Ejecting and reconnecting fixed it. All very strange since I've tried with and without the phone and gotten the same thing, but maybe something to do with the database replacement? *shrugs*

If you want to stop the iPhone interfering with the Kobo being seen then you can disable the Apple device driver.
