Makin, William J: Pirates of Piccadilly (1935); v1, 28 Jun 2019

William J Makin (1893-1944) was a British journalist and author of popular adventure stories, many published in Pearson's Magazine.

Rousing tale of a young English gentleman, broke to the wide, who is inveigled into impersonating a middle-European King-in-exile to facilitate his return to power, and his many adventures. There is of course a beautiful girl.

Prepared from the version published in The Australian Women's Weekly 7 September 1935. It is likely that it is somewhat condensed, as it is only 45,000 words.

No cover could be found, so I concocted one using part of a 1920s travel poster.
