It's possible that you have a mixup between DTB and kernel or kernel mods.
Look for pt_ and cyttsp in the DTB (or just post it).

After unboxing, I updated from stock directly to 3.5 and the touch screen stopped working. On factory firmware it worked perfectly. I'm heading home myself soon and have access to ADB again too
