okreader is another similar project

There's a project called okreader which works on porting Debian to various Kobo devices:

https://github.com/lgeek/okreader

I think the two project should collaborate somehow, so I opened an issue there to point to the project here:

https://github.com/lgeek/okreader/issues/15

and... vice versa.

I would be very interested in this, thus far I have only been able to get Debian running in a chroot on the H2O. I ran into some problems with the evdev driver and thus far a solution there has illuded me. I think it is to do with EV_SYN not responding correctly when you raise your finger from the first touch but it would take someone with a bit of knowledge in that area to fix the driver. This would then work out-the-box with touchegg and we would have gestures. I managed to get the xserver running and responding correctly to inputs (no multitouch) using a custom driver from Malek.

https://github.com/S-trace/xorg-input-kobomultitouch

I was looking into trying to get Debian to boot from the external SD card using the methods outlined here:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=269509

I am not adverse to opening the H2O and writing custom images to the internal SD card for testing, it's (half) the reason I purchased the device.
