Forcing screen refresh in kterm to remove ghost characters?
Hi,
I am using kterm on my Paperwhite (e.g. for playing text adventures using frotz, etc.) and soon after using kterm for a little while, ghost characters are starting to be visible. Is there a way to force a screen refresh in kterm? The global Screen Referesh setting in Amazon's Kindle Settings control panel does not seem to make a difference when using kterm. Very best wishes pete |

void reset_terminal(GtkWidget *widget, gpointer terminal){ vte_terminal_reset(terminal, TRUE, TRUE); } https://github.com/bfabiszewski/kter...master/kterm.c I suppose there are a few options The least calorie one/more annoying one being: "Press top left of terminal window and select RESET TERMINAL (or REVERSE COLORS)" A more advanced approach might be to link that to a single gesture or to alternate two calls to the color inversion to fake a full flash. Failing that you could link the call to some nominal amount of interaction or timescale. etc. Last edited by twobob; 08-31-2013 at 08:01 AM. |
