German Publishers Planning to Sue Thousands of File-sharers

From techdirt there is a brief article with links to more details on this. Just thought it was relevant considering how open the publishers in Germany were beginning to appear based on the txtr interview. I doubt very much that they are wising up as much as appeared:

Enjoy.

When will they learn? This didn't work for the RIAA/MPAA and all the rest. The file-sharing culture has been proven to increase demand and sales for a work rather than decrease them.

Bleh, why only suing? Put them in a camp and force them to edit ebooks 19 hours per day, until they die, or just line them up against the wall and shoot them.

It'll fail miserably, if it even gets that far. They'll just attract more people to file-sharing as all the other hopeless dinosaur companies did in the past. As long as they insist on living in the past, then they're never going to understand the present.
