Free Sherrilyn Kenyon book at the Sony Store

DOWNLOAD THIS TITLE FOR FREE THROUGH JULY 3RD! The latest in the Dark Hunter series. Valerius isn't a popular Dark-Hunter-he's a Roman, which means that the largely Greek Hunters have a major grudge against him and his civilization for superceding them. To make things worse, he's very conscious of his aristocratic background and breeding. So it serves him right when he runs into Tabitha Devereaux. She's sassy, sexy, and completely unwilling to take him seriously. (Not to mention that she's the twin sister of the wife of former Dark-Hunter Kyrian-Val's mortal enemy.) What Tabitha does take seriously is hunting and killing vampires-and soon she and Val have to grapple with the deadliest of all Daimons-one who's managed to come back from the dead, and one who holds a serious grudge against both of them. To win against evil, Val will have to loosen up, learn to trust, and put everything on the line to protect a man he hates and a woman who drives him nuts. |

The eBook that is free is Seize the Night which makes no sense to give away. It is book #7 in the Dark-Hunter series. So why give away #7 when giving away #1 would be a lot smarter idea?

Thanks, I just downloaded it as well. I agree that it is odd they'd offer the latest book but I'm happy to get it. Have never read any of these so looking forward to giving it a try.

It's a great series of books! And it makes sense to release #7 since it contains a great deal of detail about the character Acheron, who has his own book coming out in August. You really *ought* to read the whole series, if you like the style -- but you don't have to.
I am now RE-reading the whole series, in preparation for the August release. P.S. Detailed sex scenes, but you can skip or skim them if they bother you. P.P.S. This isn't by any means the "latest" book. It's number 7 -- there are at least a dozen out there. I forget the exact count. |

I have to agree - the series is one of my secret addictions. I came across it by accident a few months ago, and I'm completely hooked. Can't wait for August!

It is my understanding that many of the books stand alone well enough. A friend who is really into this series says that there are many of the books whose story doesn't depend on knowing what happens in the previous volumes.
