Best Android based E-reader?

Can you recommend a Android based e-reader for me?

Between 5-7 inch, high resolution, able to run moon reader on Android.

Onyx T68 Lynx. 6.8" HD eInk screen. General-purpose Android tablet which runs Moon+ very well. The combination of Calibre Companion as a library manager and Moon+ as a reader works extremely well.

Is T68 better than more established brands like Kobo, Sony or Kindle or others?

It's an eInk device, and so totally different to an LCD Android tablet. It really depends what it is you're after: a dedicated reading device, or an LCD tablet. I have both a T68 and a Nexus 7, which is a "normal" LCD Android tablet. I use them both, but for different purposes. You can install pretty much any Android app on the T68, but obviously some work well with an eInk screen, and some don't.

Of course I'm talking about E-ink, not LCD.

Apologies, I was confused by your mention of Kindle, because there aren't any eInk Kindle Android devices. The only Android-based Kindle devices are the "Fire" tablets, which are of course LCD devices.

Sony and Kobo both make Android-based eInk readers, but they are dedicated readers, not general-purpose tablets onto which you can install your own apps. The T68 and the Kobo Aura HD use the same 6.8" HD eInk screen.

I believe the Nook Simple Touch is also Android, though the version is quite old. It can run Moon+, but it is not high resolution. (Requires root to run any apps, as do Sony and Kobo)

Correct. Very simple to do with the Nook.

Discounting various oddball eInk phones, I believe that is true, yes.

The T68. It's running a much later version of Android, so more apps are available on it, and has the official Google Play store. It also has a significantly higher-resolution screen.
