Span HTML BBCode in Signature?

I don't exactly know where I should ask this so I will ask it here.

I am trying to line up urls side-by-side like some of you have in your signatures but I can't seem to get it right. Usually, I'd do this with a span tag in HTML but that isn't allowed. How do you do this? I've checked the wiki but none of those BBCode tags answer my question.

As you can see in my signature, the links are vertical and I don't want that.

Yes, that signature definitely exceeds our signature guidelines (see item 9).

To get the years all on the same line, try replacing the paragraph marks with " / ".

For example, instead of this:

[url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/7160902"][u]2017[/u][/url]
[url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/3675297"][u]2016[/u][/url]

[url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/1122134"][u]2014[/u][/b][/url]

You could use this:
[url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/10188529"][u]2018[/u][/url] / [url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/7160902"][u]2017[/u][/url] / [url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/3675297"][u]2016[/u][/url] / [url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/1803738"][u]2015[/u][/url] / [url="https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/1122134"][u]2014[/u][/url]

With no spaces between lines, which would produce this:
2018 / 2017 / 2016 / 2015 / 2014

That would solve the one line problem, but unless changes are made to the rest of your signature, it will still be too tall. Something has to go. As a guide, you can measure it against my signature, which has been deliberately maxed out for that very purpose. Let me know if you need any help.

FYI, it looks like there is an extra quote mark in your 2018 link now so it isn't working.
