What I meant was more along the lines of community support to make the Kobo a more general purpose device probably isn't a focus. I don't know that Nokia's approach with the N900 and Maemo, Meego etc is very similar to Kobo's approach.
I love what you guys are doing, I'm very happy with the current device and do really look forward to what you can do to improve it. If the community can also build something to help extend the existing Kobo functionality I'd also be very interested in that. Edit: Has there been any developments from the community at this point, anyone been able to build [their own] code and use it on the Kobo? Last edited by JPenguin; 09-08-2010 at 09:26 PM. |

JCKobo, how about posting sources for u-boot/kernel and patches for Literati/Lookbook ? I've tried to contact tech support for this but they were not helpful and just hung up on me numerous times...

Are the Literati/Lookbook devices only "powered by Kobo", as in they just make use of the Kobo bookstore?
Edit: Never mind, found the answer in a different thread. Last edited by rckytcky; 04-03-2011 at 10:40 AM. |
