Version 1.0.2 Library-specific preferences
Version 1.0.2 - 25 Aug 2018 Library-specific preferences. Global Default Preferences must be reviewed at least once. Thereafter, each Library will use its own specific preferences that must be changed within CalibreSpy itself. Icon redesigned.
A new Version 1.02 image is attached to the OP. |

@DaltonSt - this has effectively replaced my use of multiple instances of version 2.0 server.
I have one additional suggestion, ability to specify a library in the calibre-debug command, I'm thinking of something like this: Code:
calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --with-library "d:\calibre\libraries\main" |

CLI Option to Specify Library in Command File
Added: the syntax available in Version 1.0.3 will be exactly:
calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest2" The first -- is stripped away by calibre-debug, and then it passes the ' --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest2" ' on to CalibreSpy. It then strips the leading "--", leaving the path. What is shown above will work every time if the path is valid. If not, the popup combobox will not be bypassed, and CalibreSpy will behave as if the Library had not been supplied. calibre-debug does not support any " --with-library...." syntax, so that is not an option (forgive the pun). Version 1.0.3 has the ability to re-order the 11 columns by specific library. It will be uploaded later this week. DaltonSt Last edited by DaltonST; 08-26-2018 at 11:43 PM. Reason: calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest2" |

Having a single .bat file with multiple command lines would be much cleaner. Try the "START" bat file command with each line.
@echo on START calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest1" START calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest2" START calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest3" START calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest4" START calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest5" pause See my previous post for a red addition. Version 1.0.3
Version 1.0.3 - 28 Aug 2018
CLI Command file syntax now supports specifying a Library to open, bypassing the popup dialog to choose one. The correct syntax for Windows is exactly: calibre-debug -r "CalibreSpy" -- --"S:\Calibre\CalibreJobSpyTest2" The 11 Metadata Columns may be resequenced in any order desired within Library-specific 'Local Preferences'. Many other functional and technical enhancements that are much too numerous to list. Refer to the 'all-new' images attached to the Original Post. There are 2 major enhancements being developed, one of which is to be able to Copy-and-Paste the available CalibreSpy metadata to another Calibre Library open in the Calibre GUI. That enhancement is slated for Version 1.0.5+. DaltonST n.b. Highly recommended: back up your ../calibre/... directories whenever you back up your Libraries. Especially your ../calibre/gui.json file. Back up today. |

The Header test for Series and Index is in UPPER CASE, any reason for that?
The term Local Preferences is used in messages and tooltips, which may lead some people to assume there are Remote, Server, or Network Preferences somewhere - Library Preferences might be better. BR |

[1] Yes. Copy-and-Paste error just on those 2 column labels. The SERIES in SERIES_COLUMN (the name of a constant) was selected and then pasted into that label. Same error for INDEX. [2] The Version 1.0.3 images posted in the OP all show "Library-Specific". There is only one place that I found in CalibreSpy in Version 1.03 that uses the term "Local Preferences", and it is the ToolTip for the CalibreSpy icon (actually a pushbutton) in the lower left corner. In Version 1.03 the ToolTip says "Local Preference Customization for the current Library" (which is clear enough to me, but then I am biased since I wrote it). However, in Version 1.04 (the current version under development and testing), it now says "Library-specific Preference Customization". Version 1.04 will allow changes in the column assignment sequence without doing any restart of CalibreSpy. It will do a dynamic matrix rebuild without having to load any data again, so it will be much faster. I was going to do that for Version 1.03, but got involved in other things. DaltonST |

Version 1.0.6 Many functional and technical tweaks to improve overall experience
Version 1.0.6 - 30 Aug 2018 Many functional and technical tweaks to improve overall experience and performance.
It is hard to see, but in the lower right corner of the CalibreSpy window there is now a "resizing grip" to left-click and then drag around to continuously resize the window. The latest Library-specific size is saved. DaltonST |

Version 1.0.7 Regression error caused by Version 1.0.6.
Version 1.0.7 - 30 Aug 2018 Regression error caused by Version 1.0.6. A matrix header setting that allowed manually changing column widths was being overwritten by a later restoration of the previously-saved state of the window.

Version 1.0.8 Many Enhancements
Version 1.0.8 - 31 Aug 2018 Speed of filtering and clearing of filters significantly increased. Path column now elides in the middle so the far right (end) of the book file name with its format extension are always visible. Row heights can now be manually changed with a mouse, just as for column widths. However, row heights are not saved permanently (as are column widths). Row heights can now be manually mass-changed temporarily by right-clicking the just-manually-changed row header and selecting the menu option to do so (or use the shortcut Alt+W). Filtering dropdown box selection 'count' for Series, Tags and Publisher no longer include the values of "blank/empty/nothing".
