Exclamation Error Message with Calibre & Calibre Companion

Have been using Calibre & Calibre Companion for way over a year with my LG G70 phone with no problem. Have always stored my eBooks on my 32GB mini SD Card. Yesterday I upgraded to an LG G Stylo. Again, everything seemed to be working flawlessly. Started off with clean state. Again chose to store books on mini SD Card. Uploaded some books onto phone with no problem then had to go to sleep. Today I'm trying to add some more books to the phone & I get the following error message from Calibre:

[Errno 10053] An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 87, in run
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 584, in _upload_books
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 50, in _synchronizer
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 1452, in upload_books
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 689, in _put_file
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 575, in _send_byte_string
error: [Errno 10053] An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine

From Calibre Companion:

CC cannot write the book file. Disconnecting from Calibre.

Nothing has changed between yesterday and today. Have not changed any settings or added any other apps to the phone. Have no idea what is going on. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I'm glad I found this message in search. I was having the exact same problem with my Kindle Fire HD 8. Unmounting/mounting solved the issue, I didn't even have to take the card out!
