Hi,
I have been using calibre for the last 18 months or so (brilliant program)
In the new version of Calibre 0.7.42 there seems to be a new feature/bug, when you edit the author while in the GUI, the author pops up in a drop down list (normal) but now when you arrow down to this author and select, calibre adds a space and an & symbol to the end of the authors name. This is repeatable and I have not seen this behavior before.
Is this an option somewhere, can this be changed through preferences.

Confirm the same results on Windows XP in the metadata window or the edit cell of the GUI library window.

yes that's to allow completion on multiple authors. The & is automatically stripped when you click OK
