Rebuild "author sort" field
Hello everyone,
I know this might sound silly, but... Is there a way to "rebuild" the author sort field - other than going entry by entry? - I have accidentally deleted it in all my entries (... replaced it with a blank space, in fact) and now the database does not "sort" by author at all. Thanks in advance and greetings from sunny Madrid, -Enrique |

Checking the "Automatically select..." box fixes the problem. Thanks in any case, -Enrique |

You can also do "Control+A" to select all ebooks in calibre.
Then rigth click -> Edit Metadata -> Edit Metadata in Bulk. Then check "Automatically set Author Sort" Click Ok. And just wait for all the changes to be processed (might take a while depending on amount of ebooks you have... |
