You get Free time for kids.... which since I dont have kids I hate... Takes up space ugh & several other things that are nice. Mine had the update when I got it in November.

I have had the Kindle FreeTime subscription thing for over a week now....and my Kindle just updated itself to 7.2.3.
So is 7.2.3 actually the one that gives you the FreeTime Unlimited? If so, I wonder why mine updated itself again to the same version? This is the Fire HD 7 I am talking about. |

There was an update the other day (7.2.2) that introduced the subscription. This new one just addresses some quick bug fixes and has a few performance improvements. Very quick turnaround!
