Does Calibre recognize chm merge files?

Our help .chm file pulls in multiple other chms using the merge feature of HTML Workshop. An initial test of Calibre shows these merged chm files as "Unknown" in the TOC of the ePub converted from the main chm.

Does Calibre support merged chm files? If so, what is the trick to getting them to be recognized. If not, is there a workaround/hack to get merged chm files to work?

It does not. All I can suggest is convert them individually to epub and then use the epub merge plugin to merge the results manually.
