Skipping multiple pages on Kindle DX

Does anyone know if it is possible to skip multiple pages on a Kindle DX (latest version)? I have read that on other Kindles you can press Alt+Page Forward and Alt+Page Backwards, but this isn't working for me.

K3 here. Alt-pageX does not do anything. Pressing the 5-way cursor thingie will move to previous/next chapter.

The 5-way control button will jump you to the next (right) or previous (left) chapter, but only in books where navigation points have been coded into the MOBI file. A lot of MOBI/Kindle books don't have those navigation points coded in. You can see if navigation points have been coded by looking at the progress bar at the bottom of the screen - if it has small tick marks along it, those are the navigation points, and you'll be able to jump backwards and forwards using the 5-way control. If there are no tick marks, then that feature won't work.

Another reason to have page numbers - especially those coded as nav points. :-)

Alt+Next/Previous Page also works to skip ahead/back several pages on Kindle 1, but the feature was left out of later models.

This would be a neat feature to have indeed. I hope Amazon is listening.
