How to restore Calibre from Library folder

My computer crashed, I lost all Calibre data except the Library folder with all the books which I stored on a Cloud drive.
What is the best way to restore the Library folder into Calibre?

Unbelievable, the database was completely recovered from the library folder. Hat off!

Yep, the library folder is completely self-contained.

You have probably lost your Preferences, e.g. installed plugins, default conversion settings, device configuration, non-default Toolbar icons, etc... all those are stored in AppData.
But the important stuff is all in the library.

for heeding the most important advice which is to keep a safe backup of your library!

But for not doing the same for your configuration data.

If you don't know where it is then: In main GUI program (library manager) go to Preferences->Miscellaneous and click Open configuration directory

I suggest you back up the entire directory whenever you backup your libraries, its not normally very big - mine zips to under 8 MB.
