Question How to copy custom columns between libraries?

Hi all,

I have some Calibre Libraries and created in each one of them some custom columns. Now I want to copy some or all my custom columns from one library to another one instead of manually recreating them. Is this possible and how?

Regards

Use the "Copy to library" feature on a book, and it'll offer to copy the custom columns that don't exist to the other library along with the first book.

First make sure you can see the other library (use the "switch library" feature at least once, and then back again). Then you can right click on the book and it'll be in the menu.

When you create a New Library with Create/Switch, you are offered the option to use the current libraries structure (custom columns with their rules)

Many thanks to both for the quick responses! It has worked like a charm!
I think at least one unique field must be filled out in order for this menu to appear.
