I have a wish list on Audible and it's only used for books from the Dune franchise. Outside of that, I don't use wish lists.

I’ve decided to nuke my to-read list on StoryGraph/Goodreads as it was making reading not fun.
I do keep a wishlist on Kobo, which I like since it’s unobtrusive. I check it occasionally and cull it. I use it mainly for books I can’t find at the library and want to remember to read eventually. It has 50 books but should really be trimmed to around 25. Otherwise I just read randomly. I get recommendations from places like Reddit, Kobo book sales, YouTube, library collections, forums like this one… I’ve found good books this way. A lot of books I’ll stumble upon multiple times as recommendations and that usually gets me to try it. I really like reading without a list, it’s a lot more fun that way and I’ve found some authors I really enjoy. |

My wishlist is 64 pages deep on Overdrive. It also contains the titles of books I have recommended to my library. This is the only wishlist that I have ever compiled and it appears that Libby offers a method to sync the list between the two apps. My pre-New Year's resolution is to start the transfer process in the next two weeks.

I've really cut my wishlists down tremendously because I have an 8-10 year TBR already. My Goodreads wishlist is entirely populated with books recommended by MobileReads or similar Goodreads members. Except for certain types of non-fiction, I have plenty to read so can wait until a book is heavily discounted.

I utilize Kobo's wish list feature and buy when extra funds are available. I also joined their VIP club to save a little bit of money. Part of my brother's Christmas present to me was a 50.00 GC for Walmart ebooks. I got 12 books from that. Then I quickly found 15 more books to put on my wish list.
