I'm having the same problem right at this moment. Reset doesn't work, I've plugged it in now (then screen changed to charging screen, glad it did, at least it's not a screen problem), but when I unplug, it doesn't react..Neither does the reset button. I already had a lot of freezing (buttons that don't react anymore, and I always had to reset), so I'm getting worried actually...Only have it a month or so :s but I don't think I can miss it anymore ...

It's alive again, thanks to the procedure explained by Ned (plug in, unplug wile prodding the reset button like hell). Still worried though. Buttons sometimes don't react in library (have to push 5 times before the cursor moves), freezing without a reason, reader not always recognized by pc (though it is Ubuntu)...Should I see these things as a hardware problem, or is it rather a firmware problem?
