We did okay. Instead of getting three inches of wet snow we got mostly cold rain followed by sleet. It amounted to an inch of new accumulation, but melted off the roads shortly after the sun came out.

Lots of snow Monday night where I was in Suffolk that made the road conditions terrible. There were cars in ditches everywhere. I got my front wheels hung over a ditch while trying to turn around on a narrow one-way stree. Because the Prius is front wheel drive, I had to call a wreaker to pull me out.

but the winds weren't as bad as predicted so the power stayed on, which is the main thing. In the last nor'easter, we lost it twice. Another nor'easter coming early next week; the anticipation is almost worse than the storms. The kids will be going to school until mid-July at this rate.

It's a relief to know that climate change is a hoax.

Well, that confused me for a moment. No snow in Suffolk on Monday. In the UK.

Another grey day today, after a sunny day yesterday.

If today's wind gusts are any warning of what's coming to New England next week, prepare for power outages. We're under a red flag burning ban today - extremely gusty winds. Rain coming this weekend. I assume the combination will be traveling north next week for a Nor'Easter 'quadrifecta'?

It's cold (-2C, feels like -8C), it's windy and it snowing.

It's been a weird couple of weeks weather wise. Just over two weeks ago temperatures during the day were -5C, it felt like -15C. A week ago it was over 16C and we had the shop door open all day. And today it's cold again.

Temps on Saturday got up to the high 40s (F). It was very windy and more or less cloudy all day. Sunday should be very much the same, although it looks like the winds may not be as strong.

It's still cold, but it's less windy and today it'll be very sunny. Towards the end of the week temperatures will be back to what they normally are this time of year. Of course, this also means there's a higher chance of rain.

Sunday was. Today was, too. Very comfortable on the deck in the sun, even in the 40s (F)

Tomorrow is supposed to be overcast with a "wintry mix" through the afternoon and evening. Wednesday is supposed to be another Snow-laden Nor'easter. The various weather forecasters are calling for anywhere from 5 to 12 inches of wet, heavy snow.
