It's cold here in northern Illinois. 12 degrees F. Sunny, though, enough to fool the cats into thinking they want out on the enclosed porch. I think I managed to convince them that no, they really don't.

We got sun!

After weeks of no sun it's sunny. I've got the window uncovered even if it is 4 degrees out. The light is needed help chase away the winter blues.

Not a bad day! The high temperature nosed ever so slightly above freezing and the clouds parted late in the afternoon -- but I was still able to get some time on the deck!

It's cold, currently -4C, during the night temperature dropped to -7C and in other places it dropped to -10C. It was the coldest February night since 2012. However, during the day it's very sunny. To be honest I'd rather have it sunny and cold than the weather we've had so far this winter; warmish, gray and drizzly.

It's a bit of everything today. At the moment both the sun is shining and it's raining, or rather a mixture of snow and rain is falling. At 5C it isn't cold.
