guys, excuse me for being weary but can some one help me with this google issue, please?

Quote:
what about google recipe. If i didn't make myself clear: i am talking about default calibrie-packaged recipe. In my cases, it picks up all the stuff from folders, omits starred section.
How can it be modified to do exactly the opposite: i need only starred items.
thanks.

Hey folks. Just started really getting into Calibre last night (I thought it was just a converter basically for the longest time) and love the news fetcher. Anyway, I tried setting up a custom feed with Gamasutras RSS feed and while it seems to collect it fine, when I try to read the storied I get sort of a green screen where the text is illegible.

Any ideas?

Hi Guys, I posted earlier.
I am looking to get a recipe for the Observer UK edition. It can be found on the same site as the UK Guardian. I tried using the Guardian site, but it did not work, only gave the news from Saturday. I tried amending the Guardian recipe, but it did not work.

Would really appreciate if someone could have a look for me to see if they can do a recipe.

Thanks,

Paul

Is it possible to have a recipe for any of these?

http://taraf.com.tr
http://www.newsweekturkiye.com/

http://beyazperde.mynet.com/
http://www.altyazi.net/public/default.aspx

There are only 3 Turkish newspapers available to fetch news on Calibre's latest version. It would be so nice if any of these worked.

Any effort on that will be highly appreciated.

Handling emdash

I'm having a problem with a news feed that has emdash's included literally (instead of using — ) and they are being handled as follows: the emdash is recognized as such, and translated into a unicode emdash (u2014) which then turns up in the output as the UTF-8 equivalent (0xE2 0x80 0x94) and is displayed as — which is the CP1252 interpretation of those three character codes. I can't figure out how to fix this -- preprocess_regexps doesn't work. Can anyone help?
