I love sardines. Yep, the food is great but you really have to go to NOLA for the good stuff. The Louisiana Seafood Festival was this weekend in City Park, of course. The second day, I had Drago's chargrilled oysters and an oyster po-boy from the Redfish Grill booth. Both were outstanding. I am still dreaming of those oysters, especially the po-boy.

Anyway, the last thing I ate was srambled egg whites and mozzarella in a mug (the microwave recipe). I put it over some pretty good whole-grain bread that I spread 1 oz of avocado on.

No snow peas? Barbarians! Snow peas (and sugar snap peas) are two of life's delights.

Last night was baked brie (garlic-rosemary-maple) with seedy bread and a baby spinach-tomato-feta-blueberry salad. This morning: just coffee so far (Ministry Grounds Nehemiah blend latte). I think tonight's going to be chops 'n' spuds.

Would you guys please cool it about the snow peas/sugar snap peas?! The more countries that know about them, the more expensive they're going to get!

(I use them in stir fries and stews, and when my kids were very young they got a kick out of eating a side of "pea pods" with dinner.)
