Digital Fortress Angels & Demons Deception Point The Da Vinci Code I've only read the last, so I couldn't say how the others compare, though my brother liked Angels & Demons more that The Da Vinci Code. Cheers, Marc |

If you read more than two then you'll want to hurt yourself. The plots, the characters, everything is the same. If you stick to Angels and Demons and the DaVinci code you are safe (relatively speaking). |

I just finished "the power of the dog" by Don Winslow. Highly recommended. It's like Tarantino writing a book, and his style is unique. I am told his other books are equally good, so I am starting "the winter of Frankie Machine".

Just finished Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay.
Well, it is not bad, but not great either. 6/10. The bad: The most important plot elements feel contrived, many times important plot elements are not revealed and leave you hanging there. Part of the plot does not fit with the others. Overall, this book is over-hyped and overrated. The good: I liked the writing, the world, and the fact that is a "realistic" novel - the heroes do not feel invulnerable and it is hard to guess the plot. |

The plot wasn't bad, but the characters were just too similar to the ones in the other books it was a turnoff for me. |

I've finished "White Night" (the Dresden files#9) by Jim Butcher. I'm a few hundred pages into "Refuge" and WOW - most excellent read.
