We had a grey sky yesterday, and a blurry sun. No clouds, though. Strange.

The news tells me it is ashes from the fires in Portugal mixed with Sahara-sand. Both over 2500 km away.....wow.

I think I really liked it.

After a week of nice and warm weather this morning it's autumn again. In the past week there was one day of cooler and cloudy weather, due to Ophelia, Sahara sands and the Portuguese fires, but otherwise it was sunny and around or over 20C. It was really strange to see the council put up the festive lighting for the holiday period when it's that warm.

This morning started with rain and it'll stay around 15C, with more rain in the afternoon and evening. Good weather to make a cup of tea and curl up with a good book.

I finally figured out why it was dark outside. I was posting at midnight. This morning, the daylight came back and the dark went away

FTR, I love this time of year. Cold, overcast, drizzly days are perfect for a hot bowl of clam chowder while listening to an audiobook.

Friday, the 27th, we finally had a typical October day! The high temp for the day was 60° (F), it was breezy and very sunny. I was able to spend more than an hour on the back deck with an insulated vest, some tea, and some good reading.

Today it's supposed to be warmer, maybe in the low 70s, but otherwise much the same.

I think you are supposed to be back to warm tomorrow.
Yesterday was cool. Last night freeze warning. Tomorrow nearly 80.

It seems nearly the entire country is on a weather roller coaster.

I am trying to figure out how some of my winter tops have shrunk a bit just hanging in the closet.
