Stressful morning with all the road closures. Hubby made it to work but the biggie is will the road remain open for the drive home? Sunny out and birds singing. If it closes he will be stuck.

Not a bad day, today. It was cool, with highs in the low 60s, and sunny in the morning giving way to clouds in the afternoon. Tonight we should get the rains that are coming up from the south, and tomorrow looks like a washout.

Temperatures are up and down. During the week 11 to 13C and when it's weekend it'll be 17+C. Grey during the day and in the early evening the sunny usually comes out.

I'm already keeping an eye on the weather predictions for my vacation week. One weather website predicts a little bit of rain each day, but a lot of sun and temperatures between 16 and 18C. Another website predicts 3 to 5 millimetres each day, 16 to 18C and not a lot of sun.

Sun came out tonight so I dashed out to begin trimming the jungle in my yard -- and promptly hit a copperhead snake with my string trimmer. I'm not sure who was more surprised! Fortunately I always wear shin-high wellies for yard work -- don't think a snake could fang through their material.
