Kobo sent me a replacement code, which worked on the book I wanted. However, my Paypal payment of $3.14 is "pending," and the book does not appear in my library to download. What do I do next?

Oh my, you're having a hard time of it. I'm presuming by now that you've contacted PayPal and that the issue is not at their end.

Have you checked the format of the ebook? Could it be a kepub and only sitting on Kobo Desktop?

(If you need help finding the format, then go to the Kobo info page of the book and scroll down to the bottom left and you'll see it listed near the ISBN etc)

My Paypal payment went through, plus my Visa was charged a penny, (4 times, meaning 4 fraud warnings from my bank!) so the trouble I had paying may have something to do with this.

And now when I try to look at the listing for the book in the Kobo store, so I can copy the information to email CS, I get a 404 error. So there may be a problem with their site and/or the book itself. I checked before purchase that it was ePub.

At any rate, I'm moving tomorrow, so my Kobo mystery will have to wait a few days to be solved.

I haven't been able to pay Kobo using PayPal from my Android tablet for some months. I can pay Kobo with PayPal from my PC, and I don't have trouble using the tablet and the same browser (Dolphin) to pay to any other website, but not Kobo.
I get an error after I finish checking out, when you return to Kobo website. I get charged but no ebook. I haven't tried lately, I thought the issue could be on my side as nobody else is complaining, but maybe you're experiencing the same issue.
I got my money back, but I had to send screenshots of the PayPal movements, it was quicker when I claimed PayPal.

After having ceased playing the Trivia Contest I am able to play again. For several months my old accounts were hanging around but becoz of the various changes they have made I wasn't able to login and I wasn't able to re-register either, and it was too complicated for me to understand so I just gave up. Somehow my old registrations are now wiped and I can register my email accounts again... Sweet! And I have found myself being reconditioned to accept lower value vouchers now....

The number of book covers on that list with half naked men is astounding!

The 10% only applies to books with VIP discount. Not all books have VIP discount unfortunately!

I wish Kobo would provide some categories buttons on these concession lists. They are mostly heavy with romance and sci-fi, which means people with little interests in these two areas might just forgo going through these lists entirely.
