Just eat the sticker. It's extra fiber.

I like to just peel it off and take some skin with it. I wash all my produce very carefully anyway. I worked in a grocery store, and the skins of things like apples touch all sorts of surfaces...

My wife does too. One day, walking down a country lane in the Alsace, we passed by some blackberry bushes and of course I began to gorge myself. (I believe it is morally unconscionable to bypass ripe berries!) My wife was sure I was going to die from some dread disease, daring to eat unwashed fruit!

I tried washing some vegetables once but didn't care for the soapy aftertaste.

Honestly, I'd rather eat a blackberry straight from the bush than an apple straight from the grocery store

Me, too. A little dog pee never killed anybody, but I'm not sure you can say the same about some of the chemicals sprayed on produce, or the unknown germs smeared on it by oh-so-many hands!

Ranting again.

A common problem with women is that they snore. I'm not sure if men do, but I know that my wife does.

I've lightly shaken her, tapped on her, jerked the covers on her, flashed a flashlight briefly in her face, and in extreme episodes I've woken her up. I've even gotten up and slept on the couch a time or two.

Needless to say she tells me that SHE does not snore! She hasn't said that after I recorded her.

I have a white noise machine but it doesn't to help much.

I have some ear plugs for high noise environments and put them in a few nights ago. When I woke up I wondered what was wrong. I didn't think that I'd slept more than half an hour. I was as wide awake as I was when I'd laid down! But it was now 6:00am!!!

I had slept the whole night thru and wasn't sleepy as usual.

I tried it the last two nights with the same results, wide awake in the morning. So far the only side effect is that I get hit by my wife when my alarm clock goes off.

Men never snore... it's physically impossible...

Seriously, snoring may be a symptom of sleep apnea (interrupted breathing), which can be dangerous, as it leaves you tired even after sleeping, as well as other problems. If it's available, a night in a sleep lab will tell for sure. I was diagnosed with apnea, but only when I slept on my back, which I don't normally do. Actually, sometimes I sleep on my back on the couch, and then my snoring wakes me up

Good that earplugs work for you, but a sleep lab test might be best for your wife.

It almost makes me wonder how I managed to live this long.
I actually roller skated without a helmet, knee pads and wrist guards, rode my bicycle every day as a kid without a helmet and a little flashing red light, and if you can believe it, I even skied for 45 years without a helmet! I will confess to using protection in Bangkok when I was a bachelor. I mean, it's not like I have a death wish.

There was a guy in my unit in the Marines that snored. No wait, he did not snore, he made the most god awful, truck grinding gears, the sound of two polar bears trying to eat each other noise I have ever heard a human body make while sleeping. He would often find he ended up with a room all to himself when in barracks, or a wake up alone in a tent when in the field. He has had rolled socks, hats, gloves, canteens, boots, and, one time, a fuel bottle for a propane stove thrown at him to no avail.

People that had to room with him would often hit the rack an hour or so early in order to be asleep before him.

Nawh, it ain't dangerous. I probably won’t pull a John Wesley Hardin solution on her.

But now that you remind me I just may tell her to see a doctor about it. First I have to review her life insurance policy before making any rash decisions.

Note to married men - if you have been married a long time and your wife wants you to increase the amount of your life insurance policy, don't increase it enough that she could live comfortably should you suffer an, errmm, "accident".
