They commonly have 70% off of some group of books. Sometimes they will add something like "and $20 off of $150." Occasionally, they will have something like 80% off. If you get on their physical mailing list, you will be inundated (like 1 every 2 weeks) with their catalogs. Both being on the email and physical sale catalogs mailing lists are worthwhile, IMHO.

I hate to be sound like I'm , but these sales pale in comparison to the "Employee Pricing" sales. But it is just 70 or so courses of their own choosing in those, and they only have these sales at most every three months (that's a conservative guess--it's probably closer to every six months). So you might not find anything that you're interested in in a particular sale, and even less likely, to find a specific course that you wanted.

But, I'm patient--when it comes to saving money, so I'll wait them out. Especially when I have scores of their courses in my queue that I have not yet listened to.

Audible carries The Great Courses lectures. Their regular everyday prices on them are much less than The Great Courses' typical sales' prices. Then, they occasionally have sales which have The Great Courses items, and you can score some real bargains. But they don't carry all of The Great Courses' courses. And Audible's selection of The Great Courses courses is limited to 5-10, I would say in one of the sales that I just mentioned. You'd have to live on average probably 30 years to find a particular item, in one of the Employee Pricing Sale that you want. And, occasionally, The Great Courses' courses do go out of production.

One thing that just occurred to me is that you might find some real bargains on what you want, on eBay. But you've got to be cautious, IMHO. CD's do scratch, and you never know when someone has used a CD as a drink coaster (they don't work well as those, because of the hole in the center) or one of the kids has tried to play Frisbee with one . . . .

That's what we've been needing for a long time--a motivational/self-development audiobook.

I am so sad to report that you may not be interested in this particular motivational/self-development book--the ebook's ratings are a little weak at Amazon and GoodReads; the audiobook's ratings are a little weak at Audible. Excuse me, while I try to control my flood of emotions upon finding those things out.

Also check your area public libraries. Mine have many of The Great Courses available on CD, DVD, as well as via Hoopla and Overdrive.
