Ha, that's the one I jumped on also. Love time travel romances. They can be so very good but also so very bad. I never know until I read them all the way through though. Some mess up the endings.

Thanks for all the book freebie postings and the deals.

In general, some of blurbs sound so promising but then
(not just time travel)

Little help needed - I used send to kindle thingy for the first time, and now I don't know how to get the file to my PC. (without involving kindle, that is) The only options I found on amazon site are for delivering the file, no download.

I know right or the book turns out to be nothing like the synopsis. I'd had a few like that. Mostly mainstream published.

My peeve is when the blurb gives away everything and I'm like why should I read the book now. A blurb is supposed to be a teaser, to intice you, to intrigue you. Alot of indie authors don't get this.

The only way I know to do it is to attach the Kindle to the computer and drag the file from the Kindle to the PC?

They need to go to blurb school. LOL But seriously that is a major way to get readers if it's written in proper English and just enough details to reel a reader in.

I am a wee bit confused. Not hard to get me into that state, I promise you.

I use the send to kindle program thingie on my computer to send files from my computer to my kindles and/or cloud.

Where are you trying to get the file from? from somewhere, some website onto your computer?

On sale $1.99 With This Ring by Amanda Quick

Spoiler:
Leo Drake, the "Mad Monk of Monkcrest", is notoriously eccentric and unquestionably reclusive. But he is also a noted antiquities expert, which is why Beatrice Poole has demanded his reluctant assistance. The freethinking authoress of "horrid novels," Beatrice is searching for the Forbidden Rings of Aphrodite, a mythic treasure she suspects played a role in her uncle's death. Beatrice finds Leo every bit as fascinating as one of the heroes in her novels--and she's convinced he's the only one who can help her. But after only five minutes in her company, Leo is sure he's never met a woman more infuriating ... and more likely to rescue him from boredom. Yet the alliance may well prove to be the biggest mistake of their lives. For a villain lurks in London, waiting for the pair to unearth the Forbidden Rings--knowing that when they do, that day will be their last...

On sale $2.99 Absolute Trust by Piper J. Drake True Heroes #3

Spoiler:
LOVE IS THE GREATEST RISK OF ALL

After multiple tours of duty, Brandon Forte returns to his hometown on a personal mission: to open a facility for military service dogs like Haydn, a German shepherd who's seen his share of combat and loss. It also brings him back to Sophie Kim, a beacon of light in his life . . . and the one woman he can't have. But Forte's success means he's made enemies in high places. Enemies who are now after Sophie . . .

When Forte enlisted and left without saying goodbye, Sophie did her best to move on. But with her first love back in town, looking sexier than ever, she's constantly reminded of what they could have had. Then after he risks himself for her, Sophie realizes she'll have to put her life in the hands of the man who broke her heart, knowing the danger -and the sparks between them- could consume them both.

Hook the Kindle up to your computer via the USB cord and then you can open the files on it like it's a removable drive. Copy the file to your computer. I did that when I got the Paperwhite I won with like 16 Harlequin titles on it. Drug the files from the Kindle into the MyDigitalEditions folder and then added them to Calibre since I like to have copies of everything on my computer.

Blossom, I wonder if you've tried Christy Reece. She writes wonderful Romantic Suspense, with her latest, "A Matter of Justice", due out on Tuesday. She also writes Romantic Suspense as Ella Grace.

If you're interested she currently has a box set of the first three books in her "Grey Justice" series on sale for a limited time at $0.99.

I was afraid of that. It's just that I always download files to PC (and Callibre) first so I could have backup.
Thanks.

I have a few of her books. I had to look them up in Calibrebox. At this point I've no clue what books I own.

I haven't been in the mood in a very long time to read contemporaries. However the last book in Tiffany Snow's latest series will soon be out and I'll finally start it while I have my KU trial.

I'm currently finishing a Connie Brockway and a Julie Garwood historcals.

I love how we all have certain tropes that we love and others we just don't like. For me, time travel is an absolute no go. No matter how well done it is, my mind can't get over the inherent paradox and my brain threatens to explode whenever I try to read one (and no, I have not and probably never will read Outlander although it is buried somewhere in my TBR mountain. ). Yet I have no problem at all with vamps, shifters, witches, dragons, alien warriors, etc.

I'm the opposite. I enjoy time travel but para normal, no way (although I am a Buffy / Angel fan - go figure!). Once I read an Overdrive title where the synopsis never implied it was a vampire story and when I realized it I closed my kindled, didn't open it for a week, and wrote the author asking her to change the summary.
