No ... the fleeing rebel chickens had to land to refuel their corn hoppers ... which hid them from view on the Death Star's scanners .... and Darth Vadar was hungry ... so they fired wide beam on the entire planet .... and then scooped the resulting charred nuggets from the floating debris ... and then moved on

What could you possibly eat from that chicken. He's nothing but bones. Didn't your Mother ever tell you not to eat chicken bones?

I didn't think he was just bones, I thought his flesh had become transparent. It's the latest invention from Chicken Protective Industries (Protecting Chickens From Consumption...It's Our Mission!) designed to discourage us from eating chicken, the Chicken Invisibility Beam (CIB). Unfortunately, a flaw in the device's design left the bones visible. Still, it's an improvement over the original version, which left the bones and feathers visible.

Well, Poohbear seems only to be good for soup stock at the moment (but that's ok - I love chicken soup). He is, however, making Aprilhare look juicier than ever.

My bones are completely inedible! I am the ghost of Chicken Past - here to haunt you with unfulfilled dreams of eating chicken!

Oh fine, I'll just use the bag of bones for target practice then. Or better yet I'll send him to the Mythbusters and have them stick him in some ballistics gel and test the myth of the exploding chicken!

Repent! Repent your past gastronomic crimes against chickens! Before it's too late!

Huh? How is strapping six pounds of C4 onto the skeletal remains of a chicken a gastronomic crime?
