Good luck with your cat nightmare. Having lived through a $2500 surgical experience when my cat ate a cassette tape - I truly feel your pain. Sammy had to have a collar on for 10 days - I ended up crating her b/c she kept trying to jump onto the frig even though she couldn't see it. You might try a large dog crate - with the litter box in it - try putting dirt in to fool him into thinking he's outside. Good luck!!

That sounds like the US recipe for western he man coffee: you put a pound of coffee in a pot, with a little bit of water. You boil it for an hour.

You test by putting a spoon in the coffee. If the spoon sinks, you add more coffee...

No, those are for the wimpy flavored blends.

During WWII, US troops had five categories for coffee: Coffee, Java, Jamoke, Joe, and Battery Acid. I think the egg shells and dirty sock go in Jamoke...

well the dirty sock damn sure goes into Infantry Punch! I was an Infantry Officer's wife the second time around in Germany. in their unit it had to be a sock that had been on the Niemegen march. and I drank it!

Just back from the vet - picked up the putty tad. He is not a well nor happy camper.

His chest is fully shaved and he has an incision about 6 cm long, with drainage. To prevent him from cleaning the wound he wears a cone-collar.

I know have to watch the poor thing wobble through the house , banging into everything that doesn't get out of the way. He so desperately wants to go out that it breaks my heart to keep him in.

My usually so vocal cat hasn't uttered a sound since I got him home. Not even the usually "youbastardleftmeatthevetandhehurtme - yowl" nor a meow for food or outdoors. Just silence.

Trying to hide in his favourite hiding spot here in the house and just can't get in due to the cone.

But on the other hand - he brought it upon himself. He had to go over the road and pick a fight. And loose!!! Hubby is still in shock about the vet bill. I did have to tell him tonight that his cc will be a bit less valuable than in the morning.

But I do feel for my kitty. ( I really shouldn't call him kitty - he was 8.3 kg before the surgery. Maybe now that he had all the chest fat cut out he is about 8kg.)

I have to hand feed him tonight as he is not coordinated enough with the cone around his neck yet.

Must be Love.
