Multitabbing is where you have many tabs open in Kobo's bookstore, using the same coupon to buy a different ebook in each tab.

If you hit the buy button in each tab sequentially quickly, Kobo thinks the coupon hasn't been used yet, so you can use a coupon multiple times (as long as it I at the same time).

For the first time I am actually mad at kobo
I have been frustrated with kobo once or twice, but it has always been sorted. Well for the first time I am actually mad at kobo because the books I buy, which have always been $6.99 (which is cheaper then buying right from the publisher, have jumped to $9.87 and its all of them. I don't think I will be using kobo any more, because even with coupon codes its not worth it. For $9.87 I might as well spend $5.00 more and buy the paperbacks.

I'm with Dean. I had my eye on two books, neither couponable, but still affordable at US$9.99. I went to buy them, and they both just jumped today to 10.99. For a dollar more, I can get new paperbacks, with free international shipping, from Book Depository, which I can either give to someone else or trade to my local used book store for $2.60 credit. Or, if I lived in the US, get the paperbacks from Amazon for 8.97 and 9.98 respectively. Is it Kobo, or have the publishers gone mad, pricing e-books higher than the printed versions?

I don't think this is just kobo. I noticed the prices for a number of books I have been following have increased in the last couple of weeks. This has been at both amazon and kobo, so it might be a publisher thing.

The thing is, if I was to buy right from the publisher for the books I like it would be 7.99, which has been their price since they started the company less then ten years ago. I was only buying from Kobo cause it was cheaper, and now it is definitely not worth it.

Wow, you're right. And I can confirm the "use it or lose it" speculation about testing codes. I had a couple books with coupons applied in my cart. Then I changed my mind about what books I wanted. When I tried to apply the unused codes to different books, one worked and one didn't. (and they were all couponable --from the same publisher)

An annoyance with the website now: Previously when you entered a code and it was expired/didn't work, it would leave the text box blank. Now it stays there, and it's hard to tell if the next code you try is also bad or if it didn't actually get tried.

Did anyone else see a $5 credit in their Kobo account (on the welcome screen), good till 8/31, which has now seemed to disappear?

It's taken me a few days to find something I wanted, but now that I have, the banner about the $5 credit is gone, and I don't see it in my Payment Information either.
