Dunno, I'm fairly impressed with the design of 102. (It also helps that they fixed a few things I could finally upgrade from 60. )

If they had they required purchase of a new pair of reading glasses every few months and a secret spell to read the latest of them, dead tree books wouldn't have caught on.

Nor would cars if they could only be driven on manufacturer supplied roads… Fords and Veedubs would get 8 lane highways and Bugattis would get a dirt track.

Imagine if the pedals arrangement and steering control shape and operation on cars kept changing and differed between manufacruers.

I used to use Outlook for email. But because of a bug in Outlook with GMail, I switched to Thunderbird and TB has been working quite well ever since.

A video game cutscene glitched out. The animations failed to work so every character was just standing in the same place in a reference pose (arms outstretched). Then when the cutscene ended, all the soldiers that were supposed to have surrounded the player were stuck behind a closed door.

Thankfully a reload fixed it. But I do have an amazing tendency to somehow destroy every game I touch.

I once had a package cross the border in Ontario, go west, sit in Calgary or Edmonton for about a week before finally coming to the east coast. I got a distinct "crap, threw it in the wrong bin" impression.

I received my custom Dell workstation three days after Dell told me it had been shipped from their assembly facility in Penang, Malaysia -- which I thought was PDQ.

Meantime DHL were sending me tracking messages that it had arrived in Melbourne, that it had been sent to Sydney, that it had arrived in Sydney, that it had been sent to the courier depot, that it been put into a courier vehicle, that it had been delivered - all of eight days after I received it.

I've had the opposite experience. A package shipped from Seattle, arrived at Vancouver airport, was shipped to Montreal for processing from where it wandered off to Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and then to Richmond. From where it finally made it's way to the delivery address.

Customer: But I'm only flying from Calgary to Winnipeg!

I have a big box o' spare cables. (Okay, it's more of a 'small plastic basket' but that doesn't sound as good.) All the cables are packed so tightly that any slight movement tends to make them kind of explode all over the place.

My cat found it.
