We got an excessive heat warning out till Friday.

Even though it's only 92F out it feels like 103F due to heat index.

You have my sympathy. We have had a heat advisory for the last month. But then we live in the desert and are used to it. Though this is the longest triple digits we have had in years.

Today temperatures are set to reach around 30C, tomorrow it's going to get even hotter at 32C with a possible heat index of 38C. In the late afternoon there is a high chance of thunderstorms.

It's going to be 32C today, with a predicted heat index of 34C. Thunderstorms are predicted from late afternoon onwards, unfortunately it'll be localized thunderstorms so I'm keeping my fingers crossed we also get a good thunderstorm.

When I walked Luca half an hour ago it was already over 20C, but with a breeze and under the shade of the trees it was a pleasant walk along the canal. Yesterday I walked her earlier than normal, when I got home from work just after 2pm instead of between 5 and 6pm. I'll probably do the same today, it's only a couple of degrees cooler than later in the day but with these temperatures every degree cooler is a blessing.

According to the thermometer on the themostat it's 27.5C inside, the outside thermometer tells me it's still over 30C in the little yard outside. The promised thunderstoms have appeared further east and the line of rain that came towards my location dissolved right before it reached Utrecht. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that new rain/thunder will form and give us a drenching and cool things down.
